I have owned a lot of consoles in my life but none of them managed to crash quite as unrecoverable and badly as the PS5. Game crashes just seem to be able to do drag down the OS/Firmware to a point where the entire thing falls apart. Interestingly this has been going on since release and Sony doesn't seem to be able to fix it.

I have the same issue, reinstalled it 3 times already. Rebuilt database, signed in and out etc. First it crashes in the menu after a couple of minutes and then it crashes on start. I also barely see any information on this, wouls be nice to get some offixial statement on this.

There is a black sticker on the disc drive. Carefully peel away the sticker, set to the side then gently turn screw clockwise until the disc pops out of the drive. Pull the disc out by hand and thats it. Put the sticker back on and then the cover and stand and enjoy a much quieter PS5!
