I downloaded each as they came out and noticed if 3 or 4 dlcs are installed at once the framerate drops frequently. Turning off all the autosaves and always save to a new slot instead of overwriting seems to fix it, at least for awhile. Edit: Try putting your PS3 in recovery mode and use the Restore File System option.
In fallout 3 I would have a lot of freezes in vats or even with looting corpses/containers. Hell even going to a loading screen would make it freeze. With new Vegas though, it just got so laggy that even trying to move forward it would freeze on me. It got to the point where I just stopped playing because it wasn’t playable.
The sheriff's duster appears in Fallout: New Vegas and has a sheriff's star with the inscription Megaton. The amount of glitches would be very similar, but the crash rate would probably differ from model to model, a good example of the ps3 model diffrences would be when gta4 came out.
